Tom Hawkins is a Principal Scientist at Innospec Inc, a specialty chemicals manufacturer in Ellesmere Port, where his activities include the development of rapid testing methods, laboratory automation and data management, and the application of chemometrics to analytical data, as well as setting up and running academic collaborations. Before joining Innospec Tom was a Sensor Technologist at Osmetech plc, responsible for development and testing of 'electronic nose' gas sensor arrays for applications including clinical diagnostics. He has a PhD in biosensors from Imperial College and a chemistry degree from King's College London. Tom was elected to the committee in 2010. |
