The annual Analytical Division NW Region Long Service Lunch took place at Burton Manor College near Neston on 17 June 2010. The lunch was attended by some 60 members from the region and was followed by an enjoyable talk by Dr Ian Cubbin from Liverpool John Moores University entitled “Victorian Pharmacy - The Science behind the Medicine”, during which Ian explored some of the interesting (poisons) remedies and what we now know about their chemical composition.
